Children's Parties
Learning With Nature hosts children's birthday parties in the beautiful setting of Westonbirt Arboretum.
We have a range of different party themes to suit everyone.
Everyone has a chance to toast something over an open fire. Food and drink is provided with all the parties.​
A standard party lasts two hours and the children get to explore amongst the trees, whilst taking part in a variety of games and activities, and cook over an open fire.
If the birthday child has a particular interest in the outdoors, or animal they like, let us know before the party and we will see if we can adapt some of the activities.
"We just wanted to say a huge thank you to you and James for holding such a fantastic forest school party for Rumo and Griff today. The boys had such a great time and it has made their birthdays so very special. All of the children were buzzing on the way back to the Welcome Building! So many parents have messaged me to say how much their children enjoyed themselves, and how lovely the party bags were. Thank you so much for all of your hard work preparing everything and for making all of the activities so fun. We wish we could do it every week!

A 2 hour party costs £200

Additional children cost £10 per head, up to 6 additional children allowed. (Maximum of 16 children in total).

Extend the party to 2.5 hours - £50 (This includes making popcorn over the fire)

A non-refundable deposit of £75, plus Eventbrite fee, is payable on booking a party via

Confirmation of final numbers, notification of any allergies and full payment for the party is due 2 weeks before the party date.

Additional adults who are not members will cost £6 per person (December - February) and £8 per person (March - November).

If the party has to be cancelled due to extreme weather, and Westonbirt Arboretum has to shut to the public due to safety concerns, we will re-schedule the party for a mutually convenient date or you may have a full refund.

There will be no refund for non-attending party guests.

We will meet all the party guests at the LWN flag at the Welcome Building at the party start time and take them over to our party area. At the end of the party time, guests make their own way back to the Welcome Building or are free to enjoy the arboretum.
The cost includes entrance for up to a maximum of 4 adult helpers. A minimum of 2 adults must stay with the party. If the party guests are of preschool age, one adult per party guest may stay free of charge.

A Level 3 Forest School Leader
Food (Snack on arrival, hot dog in a roll cooked over an open fire. Children also have the chance to toast a marshmallow on a whittled stick and create a s’more with chocolate biscuits)
All children have access to water (LWN focus on delivering sustainable parties and whilst we can provide cups, we encourage participants to bring along their own water bottle).
​Parents are welcome to bring a birthday cake and any additional food if they choose

Seasonal natural craft activities in a beautiful woodland setting, all to take home.

Listen to the Gruffalo tale in the deep dark woods.

​
Launch a rocket to head to a galaxy far, far away.

Contents: Paracord bracelet or forest friend paracord keyring for younger guests, something to make kit and something to plant kit.

The 'something to make' activity will be themed depending on the party theme and include instructions:

Forest Adventure, Bushcraft Survival, Star Wars and Forest Crafts - make your own paracord keyring.

Bug Hunting and Animal Tracking - bug hotel making kit.

Enchanted Woodland - decorate your own wooden fairy door.

Woodland Magic & Mayhem - wand casting instructions, trick or treat treasure hunt during the party.
NB: In the Star Wars party bags you can have a paracord Yoda keyring instead of paracord bracelet.
